Cocoa Butter Coffee Scrub

Only four ingredients are used in these exfoliating and moisturizing Cocoa Butter & Coffee Scrub Cubes. These scrub cubes will help remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling softer and nourished.

The heat from your skin will melt away the oil and butter as the coffee grounds and coconut sugar exfoliate, leaving behind a moisturizing thin film that leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft to the touch.

The cubes are made with moisturizing cocoa butter and coconut oil, combined with gently exfoliating coffee grounds and coconut sugar.

  • 40 g coconut oil
  • 100 g coconut sugar
  • 30 g coffee grounds

Instructions

2. In another bowl or measuring glass, mix 100 g coconut sugar with 30 g coffee grounds, and add it to your melted phase. Whisk until homogenous, and pour into a silicone mold and simply freeze until the cubes are solid, about one hour.

Massage the lotion bar directly on dry skin areas, and your body heat will soften the bar – and release the nourishing Cosmosil DS and the rich and creamy shea butter. Simply rub on elbows, knees, heels, hands or anywhere else where your skin feels dry.
Store the lotion bars in a cool dry place, since they melt slightly in high temperatures. Since The lotion bar does not contain water, they are extremely long lasting.

Ingredient Facts:

Cocoa Butter:  Cocoa butter contains natural antioxidants that give it a long shelf life, making it ideal for your DIY products. The smooth texture and emollient property of cocoa butter make it suitable for dry skin care products.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil has an excellent emollient property and is suitable for use in skin care products where its light texture is ideal for dry and sensitive skin. Just as with cocoa butter, coconut oil is ideal for the scrub cube, since they are both solids at room temperature and melts when they come into contact with the heat from your body.

Coconut sugar: Coconut sugar is an excellent natural ingredient to clean away dead skin cells. In contrast to white sugar, coconut sugar is not refined – it is simply boiled-down sap from the coconut palm flower. It has good antioxidant activity and contains trace amounts of micronutrients like zinc and iron (unlike refined sugars). Coconut sugar is also finer in texture and therefore gentler on the skin than plain white sugar.

Coffee grounds: Coffee grounds make a great exfoliant in your DIY scrubs. The grounds do not dissolve in water, which makes them good at scrubbing away dead skin cells. Coffee contains one of the highest amount of antioxidants of anything out there, that help fight free radicals that can lead to skin damage. The caffeine in coffee stimulates blood flow and dilates the blood vessels, which improves blood circulation, and this, in turn, tones your skin.
